Sedalia Police Reports For December 22, 2020

Monday evening, Sedalia Police responded to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a warrant check. Breann L. Chavez, 27, of Carrollton Missouri, came to the lobby to self surrender on a Pettis County Warrant on original charges of Violation of an Order of Protection. Chavez s information was ran by dispatch and dispatch confirmed the warrant. Chavez was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $1500 cash or surety.
Monday night, Sedalia Police responded to the 1500 block of South Stewart Avenue in reference to a domestic assault. The suspect had already left the scene prior to the Officer s arrival. Through investigation, a primary aggressor was determined. A charge of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree will be submitted to the prosecutor.

Early Monday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Grand Avenue for a 911 hang up. The address of the call and phone number of the caller was known to the Police Department to belong to an individual with an active warrant. Officers made contact with the subject through a window of the home and advised that she had a warrant. The suspect refused to leave the home. New charges of resisting arrest are being sent to the Municipal Prosecutor s office for review.
