Contract signed for new Ärni Kal-Koper rail section

Lipica – The contract for principal works on the Ärni Kal-Koper section of the DivaÄa-Koper rail track was signed on Wednesday with officials announcing the start of works in May.
“Today is a big day for the Slovenian economy, development of logistics and the port of Koper,” said Infrastructure Minister Jernej Vrtovec as the contract was being signed by Pavle Hevka, director-general of 2TDK, the company managing the Koper-DivaÄa project, Iztok ÄernoÅ¡a, a 2TDK director, and Kristjan Mugerli, CEO of builder Kolektor CPG.
Kolektor CPG will build the Ärni Kal-Koper section of the second railway track that will connect the port in Koper with DivaÄa in cooperation with Turkish companies Yapi Merkezi and Ãzaltin. They assessed the value of the project at EUR 224.7 million.

Better timing in the saddle by professional riders appears to be an important element in reducing their likelihood of lower back pain, the findings of fresh research suggest.
Lower back pain is common among recreational and professional horse riders, lowering performance and hindering development.
Researchers Marc Elmeua González and Nejc Šarabon noted that a reduced incidence of lower back pain has been observed in the professional riding population despite higher training volumes.
