The global meetings and events industry is coming together in Las Vegas for the opening of IMEX America 2017 tomorrow (Tuesday October 10). The Little Library initiative began in 2018 as a part of the city of Las Vegas’ commitment to academic achievement with an emphasis on youth literacy efforts. With the support of great community partners WGU Nevada and Fisher Phillips, seven free little libraries were installed within our community.

That money bought books for Spread the Word Nevada, which puts books in the hands of underprivileged kids in Clark County schools that don t have books at home. 4,200 books from Scholastic were delivered to Spread the Word Nevada. 13 Action News General Manager and Vice President Chris Way and Meteorologist Dani Beckstrom were there to see the delivered books.
