MTSU officials announced the “Don’t Miss Your Shot” COVID-19 vaccine clinic sponsored by MTSU Health Services will reopen Thursday and Friday at the Student Union first-floor atrium location.
The CDC and FDA suggested the use of the J&J vaccine be put on hold “out of an abundance of caution” due to rare but serious reports of blood clots among about 6.8 million people who received this vaccine.
Upcoming vaccine clinics offered by Health Services will now administer the two-shot Moderna vaccine. The clinic has previously offered Moderna vaccines at the university s School of Nursing.
The vaccine clinic will return to the Health, Wellness and Recreation Center location beginning Monday with vaccinations administered from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. Extended hours will once again be offered until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
