Prime Minister Boris Johnson is due to address the nation this afternoon amid reports the Christmas rules could change.
The rules around mixing with up to three households from December 23-27 remain at the moment, no matter what tier you re in, but they are under review.
Mr Johnson will hold a Downing Street press conference at 3.30pm on Wednesday alongside England’s chief medical officer professor Chris Whitty, No 10 has said.
