CELINA – Scott Miller, associate farm underwriter at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the chartered property casualty underwriter designation.
The Institutes, an organization dedicated to providing accreditation and continuing education to insurance professionals, administers the CPCU, which is the most trusted credential in risk and insurance. Miller completed final exams for nine self-study courses, such as risk management, insurance operations, liability and insurance law, and industry-specific finance and accounting.
“It took determination and drive to achieve this designation,” Miller said. “I have gained a broader understanding of the entire insurance system, which I can use to assist my agents every day.”

CELINA – Karla Dieringer, commercial lines underwriter at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the associate in commercial underwriting designation.
The Institutes, an organization dedicated to providing accreditation and continuing education to insurance professionals, administers the associate in commercial underwriting designation. Dieringer completed five self-study courses and final exams – evaluating commercial underwriting risks, underwriting commercial property, underwriting commercial liability, commercial insurance and ethical decision making in risk and insurance.
“As a commercial lines underwriter, I encounter new situations every day due to how multifaceted the position can be,” Dieringer said. “Continuing my education gives me the knowledge to assist our agents in making the right decisions within the business industry.”

Celina Insurance Group recognizes Novak for insurance designation achievement

CELINA – Evie Novak, special investigative unit senior investigator at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator designation.
The CIFI program is an accrediting process for individuals with the specialized skills required to detect, investigate and deter insurance fraud. The program has a high standard for admission and testing, including adherence to the International Association of Special Investigation Unit’s code of ethics and a demonstrated competency through mandatory continuing professional education.
Novak is a member of the IASIU and has been active in the SIU for more than three years. To achieve the CIFI, she acquired 100 points toward the examination application that combines educational degrees and years of insurance investigation experience. She also successfully passed the exam.
