Occupational Therapist/Physical Therapist of the Year Amy Peart
Peart joined Cherokee Schools from Cobb County Schools in 2015. She provides occupational therapy services to students with fine motor and sensory needs and has served students at schools including Carmel Elementary, Boston Elementary, and Woodstock Middle.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA The Cherokee School Board approved school calendars, an employee bonus, and appointed several new leaders for the next school year.
1. Calendars
The Cherokee County School Board approved on Thursday school calendars for three more years and appointed several new leaders for the next school year.

The approved calendars for the 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 school year now are posted online. They were developed by a committee of Cherokee Schools employees and parents and use the same balanced calendar model as currently in place.

The district will be providing students with meals to last them through the holiday break. Meals will be distributed on Monday, Dec. 21st from 9 to 11 am.
Students or their parent or guardian can pick up the meals at the curbside distribution event.
Each meal kit will contain breakfasts, lunches, snacks and suppers for the days school will be closed for the winter holiday.
