Raising Cane’s to open 7 chicken restaurants in D-FW in 2021 and 85 nationwide

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers started as a college-town Louisiana fast-food joint named after the founder’s dog. Today, much of the action takes place in Plano, where a team runs the operations for Raising Cane’s 550 restaurants that employ 34,000 people.
For the past four years, Raising Cane’s has opened about 60 new restaurants a year. That number will swell to 85 in 2021, says Todd Graves, Raising Cane’s founder and co-CEO.

With big names such as Coke, Hyundai and Kia sitting it out this year, newcomers are rushing in. This year’s Super Bowl will showcase more than 20 first-time advertisers many flush with cash thanks to changing consumer habits during the pandemic.
Why ignore the truth?
Our country ended 2020 in chaos. Between the pandemic and the election results, our country was in a hot mess! Two weeks after an attempted insurrection intent on destroying our democracy, a new administration began. But the GOP seemed intent on ignoring what happened ahead of the inauguration. They are back to being the party of “no.”
After all the turmoil, the GOP is “not sure” that COVID-19 relief is needed. Somehow, they still think obstructing the work of our federal government is a good way to operate. Many have gone back to the old argument that the federal government can’t afford to spend the money because it would increase our country’s debt.

Mi Cocina, the Tex-Mex restaurant known for its brisket tacos and frozen Mambo Taxi cocktails, won the bid to be the flagship restaurant at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas.
Company executives will pump at least $2 million into a renovation of the glassed-in restaurant that currently sits vacant, says Edgar Guevara, president and CEO of M Crowd restaurant group, which operates Mi Cocina.
