The inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country dropped 32.5% to $1.55 billion in the first 10 months of current fiscal year 2020-21 compared to $2.3 billion in the same period of last year, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported on Friday.

President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday called upon the public and private sectors to join hands in supporting the government’s efforts for the documentation of national economy.
He urged the businessmen to play an active role in encouraging business community to pay taxes so that budget deficit could be reduced and more funds be allocated for development work.
The president expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCC&I) led by President LCC&I, Mian Tariq Misbah-ur-Rehman, here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) led by its President Mian Tariq Misbah-ur-Rehman called on President Dr Arif Alvi at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
