There are no new developments following the disappearance of the nine-year-old Ausi Jonas.
In an interview with OFM News, Free State police spokesperson Thandi Mbambo says the search for the missing 9-year-old is still underway and no new information has been made available. Mbambo further adds that it has been 26 days since her disappearance on 7 March 2021 in section R in Botshabelo, in the Free State.
The mother of Ausi, Nomasomi Jonas, tells OFM News that she has not heard anything about the whereabouts of her child and has last spoken to the police a week ago.
Nomasomi further adds that she is hopeful that her child will be found. According to Mbambo, no new developments have been made.

Days ahead of Easter and two weeks before Ramadan, the World Health Organization has cautioned against crowded indoor celebrations that could trigger a fresh surge in coronavirus infections. In countries experiencing widespread community transmission of the virus, virtual meetings, postponing or reducing such gatherings should be seriously considered, said a WHO statement. Regardless of location, any religious service should be held outdoors wherever possible or be limited in size and duration, with physical distancing, ventilation, hand hygiene and mask use, as appropriate, it added.
Better would be for people to mark the festivals with those they lived with and avoid meeting others especially if feeling unwell or in isolation or quarantine, it said.

The gruesome discovery in the Free State of the body of a former Eastern Cape police clerk has led to the arrest of the victimâs son.
According to Free State police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, the victim, 40-year-old Siziwe Gladile, was reported missing by his brother on 31 March 2021. The body of Gladile was found on 31 March 2021 at his residence at Bronville, in the Free State.
Mbambo says police members, Sergeants Israel Tshehlana and Matlala Matlala, conducted a preliminary investigation by visiting the victim s house. On arrival they noticed that the window panes were broken and there were blood stains on the ground next to the house leading to the shack at the back. Members followed the blood trail and saw loose soil in the shack. They noticed a human toe protruding in the sand as they tried to dig inside the shack. Relevant stakeholders were alerted and the body wa
