Dec 10, 2020 Companies affiliated with Governor Gavin Newsom have received nearly three-million in federal loans meant to help small businesses struggling amid the pandemic. That figure is more than eight times the amount originally reported. Newly released information from the U.S. government shows that the nine businesses tied to Newsom s Plump Jack Group split the loans through the Small Business Administration s Paycheck Program. Newsom put his business holdings into a blind trust before he took office last year and so would not have participated in the decision to obtain the loans.
