Muscat: The Ministry of Finance has issued a Financial Circular No. 1/2021 on awarding Government contracts worth OMR 10,000 or less to SMEs.
A statement issued online by Ministry of Finance said: As part of the Economic Stimulus plan which aims to strengthen economic recovery and enhance national economy and in order to to support SMEs to achieve value-added for the nation economy and contribute towards economic diversification, all Ministries, Government units and SOEs shall award Government contracts, including supply and provision of services contracts, which are worth OMR 10,000 or less to SMEs (whose owners hold RIYADA card).
