Israel s Air Force is Intimately Familiar with Fighting Forever Wars

Israel faces a lot of threats in the Middle East. Here s What You Need to Remember: Just this month, the IAF retired the 117th Squadron known as the “First Jet Squadron” after sixty-seven years. The squadron, which most recently had been flying F-16C fighter planes, had fought in all of Israel’s wars since 1953, and during its service, pilots from the squadron racked up a reported 124 kills. For thirty years until the signing of the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty in 1979, the State of Israel was quite literally surrounded by enemies. While the years since have seen Israel establish relations with Jordan and most recently the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain the Jewish state still faces threats in the Middle East including from neighboring Syria and from more distant Iran.

Resistance is not Futile | Dissident Voice

by Steve Lalla / January 6th, 2021 Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has inspired fear within the Empire through both armed struggle and its success in electoral politics. For effectively wielding this double-edged sword, the “Party of God” has been vilified by countless politicians and media outlets. From its birth as an armed resistance to Israeli attacks on Lebanon over 35 years ago, Hezbollah developed into an institution that provided health and education services to the country’s neediest. After defeating the Zionist state in successive conflicts, it rode great mass support into the electoral sphere and now constitutes the key political force in Lebanon, and “arguably the most powerful nonstate military group in the world.”
