Υπό έλεγχο τέθηκε το πρωί της Παρασκευής η πυρκαγιά που εκδηλώθηκε κατά τις 6:30 το απόγευμα της Πέμπτης στην διασταύρωση της Κάτω Πρίνας και των Μεσελέρων Λασιθίου, πιθανόν από αναμμένο τσιγάρο που πετάχτηκε από διερχόμενο αυτοκίνητο, την ώρα που στην περιοχή έπνεαν ισχυροί βόρειοι άνεμοι.
Στο σημείο από όπου ξεκίνησε η πυρκαγιά έσπευσαν αμέσως κάποιοι λίγοι κάτοικοι της Πρίνας οι οποίοι κάλεσαν αμέ
