LI woman charged with driving into 2 NYPD officers during protest in Brooklyn © Provided by RADIO.COM Hit-and-run suspect NEW YORK (WCBS 880) A 26-year-old from Long Island has been arrested and charged for allegedly driving a vehicle into police officers during a Brooklyn protest last October. Samantha Botte, 26, of Centereach, has been charged with assault, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, attempted unlawful fleeing from a police officer in a motor vehicle and reckless driving. Officials say the 26-year-old was involved in an incident near Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street in Brooklyn around 10 p.m. on Oct. 27. Police say, around that time, two NYPD Uniformed Police Officers conducting crowd control duties when Botte allegedly approached in a vehicle with the license plat “ANUTHA1.”
