Workers in Bauchi State have appealed to the State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to as a matter of necessity set machinery in motion for regular release and implementation of promotions to all deserving civil servants.
The appeal was made by the Bauchi State chairman Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Danjuma Saleh on Saturday during the commemoration of the 2021 international Workers Day held at the Command Guest House.
According to him, the promotions are not coming as at when due lamenting that passing promotions examinations are not a guarantee for one to be promoted in the state now in spite of the efforts put into it by the civil servants.

Bauchi state Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed cried out that the state is getting overwhelmed by immigrants from troubled states who are gradually becoming agents of criminal activities.
The Governor however stressed that it is only when the issue of security becomes two-way traffic between the people and the security concerns, that when the government can be better.
The Governor who was addressing participants of Course 14 of the National Institute of Security Studies (NISS) on a study tour of Bauchi State on Monday at the Government House, said that security is supposed to be everybody’s business and not left to government alone.

Though it is in control of the Legislative arm of government, Bauchi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that the PDP led executive arm is coercing and inducing its members in the Assembly into joining the ruling PDP.
The allegation was made by the APC caucus lawmakers which controls the Bauchi 9th Assembly urging the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to henceforth in the interest of peace and democratic tenets stop coercing, inducing the lawmakers into his party, PDP.
The lawmakers in a press release dated 7th April and made public with copies given to Journalists in Bauchi warned the Governor not to truncate the good relationship existing between the two arms despite the political party differences and affiliation.
