NORFOLK, Va. â Rajput Indian Cuisine has been serving Indian food at its Norfolk restaurant for 20 years. They say the lunch buffet was popular before the pandemic and allowed newcomers to the Indian cuisine the ability to try different dishes to see what they like.
Last week, the restaurant reopened its lunch buffet for the first time since shutting it down last year when the pandemic started.
âEverything is cleaned multiple times. All spoons and forks and everything are changed multiple times. All plates are changed multiple times,â says manager Nipun Chhabra.

The Chesapeake Health Department said the event at Greenbrier Mall would feature food, games, and an opportunity for adults and eligible children to get vaccinated.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. The Chesapeake Health Department wants people to come out to its Family Fun Fair - to enjoy food trucks, raffles, a dunk tank and free COVID-19 vaccines.
The fair, set for June 4 between 3 and 7 p.m., is a unique kind of clinic to battle the pandemic. The idea is more of a fun night out with COVID vaxx convenience built right in, wrote health department spokesperson Kimi Stevens.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Come one, come all!
The Chesapeake Health Department is hosting a Family Fun Fair at the old Sears at Greenbrier Mall on Friday, June 4 from 3-7 p.m.
The fun night out will give people the opportunity to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. There will be food trucks, demos, a dunk tank and prizes for getting vaccinated. Food will be provided by Over the Moon Pizza and Dula s Fish on the Fry.
As an added bonus, the first 150 people to get vaccinated will receive a free Norfolk Tides baseball.

HAMPTON ROADS, Va.â As vaccine supply outpaces demand, health officials are getting creative to combat vaccine hesitancy.
âWe used our church bus to circulate throughout the community to announce that we were offering the vaccines, and we were providing rides for people we needed to come to the church to get their vaccine,â said Bishop Dwight Riddick of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
In Norfolk, Faith Deliverance Christian Center says it garnered a tremendous response from walk-ins at their vaccination clinics with the help of volunteers holding signs up outside letting people know shots were available to the public.
