Mumbai Coastal Zone Management Authority gives nod to Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray memorial

The proposed complex will have three new buildings in an area of around 1,19,130 square feet. Balasaheb Thackeray complex will also include former mayor s bungalow. Earlier, Mumbai civic body had handed over the bungalow to the Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial Public Trust.        Maharashtra state Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray heads the Balasaheb Memorial Trust. As the bungalow is a Grade II-B heritage structure, the coastal zone authority said that major structural alterations cannot be made. The Mumbai municipal corporation has bought the bungalow in 1962.
