‘Marriyum’s tone speaks volumes about her leadership’s confusion’

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Barrister Mirza Shahzad Akbar on Tuesday said the indecent language and offensive words used by the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb spoke volumes about her leaders’ confusion and annoyance.Commenting on the press conference of Marriyum Aurangzeb, the adviser tweeted that his meetings were aimed to save public and national money.
Shahzad Akbar said till date, Marriyum has not been able to tell the relationship of Shahbaz Sharif and Suleman Shahbaz with Manzoor ‘Paparwala’ on whose names telegraphic transfers (TTs) of billions of rupees kept pouring into their accounts.

LAHORE: The Accountability Court (AC) on Monday adjourned the hearing of money-laundering and assets-beyond-means reference against PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and his family members by February 10. The court adjourned after the defense counsel completed cross-examining of a prosecution witness. The court also summoned more witnesses for next hearing. The jail authorities produced Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz amid tight security as heavy contingents of the law enforcement had cordoned off the court premises.
Shahbaz informed the court that two to three of his medical tests were still pending despite the court orders. Shahbaz also presented Transparency International report about Pakistan, saying that in PML-N government corruption index was going down while in the government of anti-corruption champions, corruption is increasing in the country. LAHORE: An accountability court Wednesday adjourned the hearing of money-laundering and assets beyond means case against Shahbaz family until January 26.
The jail authorities produced Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz before the court amid tight security as heavy contingents of the law-enforcement agencies had cordoned off the court premises.
During the course of hearing, the NAB prosecution witness FBR’s Deputy Director Asif Zameer recorded his statement. Moreover, the court has summoned Asif Zameer and another witness Muhammad Sharif on the next hearing for cross-examination. The court has also directed authorities concerned to include three personal physicians of Shahbaz Sharif as part of the medical board constituted to address his health concerns.

LAHORE: A magisterial court on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif’s son Suleman Shahbaz in Rs 25 billion money laundering investigations against the Shahbaz family. The FIA informed the court that an investigation team had summoned Suleman many times to join the investigation but he didn’t appear. The FIA requested the court to issue non-bailabale arrest warrants of Suleman. The magisterial court of Zulfiqar Bari while accepting the FIA plea issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Suleman Shahbaz, directing the FIA to arrest the accused and produce him before the court by January 19.
