Jan 12, 2021 BERKELEY – Head coach Justin Wilcox announced Tuesday that defensive back Raymond Woodie III has signed a financial aid agreement to join the Cal football program. Woodie has spent the last two seasons at Florida State after graduating from Florida State University High School in Tallahassee in 2019. Woodie will join the Cal program this January and be a sophomore in 2021 with three seasons of collegiate eligibility remaining, which includes the additional year of eligibility granted by the NCAA to all fall sports athletes due to the effect of COVID-19 on the 2020 campaign. We are excited to have Raymond join our program, Wilcox said. He is a talented football player and adds significant experience to our defensive backfield. I expect him to have an opportunity to make an immediate impact on our team.
