Xinte Energy secures 152,400MT polysilicon supply contract Email

Major China-based polysilicon producer Xinte Energy has secured a major polysilicon supply contract with a new entity, Qinghai Gaojing Solar Energy Technology Co, that was said to be a third party independent from Xinte Energy.
Xinte Energy will supply Qinghai Gaojing Solar Energy Technology Co with a total of 152,400MT of polysilicon from July 2021 to December 2025. In typical fashion, prices would be negotiated on a monthly basis.

Trina Solar has added to its Vertex series of next-generation solar modules, launching an ultra-high power 670W version.
Launched at the PV ModuleTech conference, organised by PV Tech publisher Solar Media, the 670W Vertex panel has now entered mass production after receiving IEC certification from TÜV Rheinland and completing other reliability tests.
Solar Module Super League (SMSL) member Trina said the 670W module inherits a range of key technologies which underpin its range of modules built upon 210mm solar cells, namely non-destructive cutting, high-density interconnection and multi-busbar technologies.

Major ‘Solar Module Super League’ (SMSL) member LONGi Solar is planning to build a new 5GW high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cell plant in Yinchuan, China.
The SMSL manufacturer already operates a 3GW cell plant in the Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone, while parent company LONGi Green Energy also has a 15GW ingot/wafer production plant in the area.
LONGi said that the new cell plant was expected to be put into production in 2022, although ratification of the plans was pending. The company did not disclose the expected investment costs for the new cell production project.
