A hoon on bail who allegedly kicked a police car before leading officers on a high speed chase from Dandenong South has been arrested on the other side of the city.
Police were called to Commercial Drive in Dandenong South following reports a large crowd had gathered at an illegal hoon event about 10pm on Wednesday night, 27 January.
The 18-year-old motorcyclist, who was riding a black and green Kawasaki motorbike with no plates, quickly attracted the attention of responding officers when he allegedly kicked their police car several times.
Police say the rider then performed a ‘mono’ before returning to the hoon event.

Stolen vehicles and motorcycle seized in Sunshine North
Police yesterday charged a man with numerous offences as a result of an investigation into the handling of allegedly stolen vehicles at an automotive wrecking business in Sunshine North.
Vehicle Crime Squad detectives executed a search at the Baldwin Avenue address on 27 January, following information that the business had allegedly been operationing in contravention of the Second Hand Dealers Act.
During the search, police located information to indicate a second holding yard nearby and a search was conducted at this premises.

Probationary driver caught drink driving in Sunshine
A probationary driver has had his licence suspended after allegedly being caught drink driving following a collision with a parked car in Sunshine this morning.
Keilor Downs members were patrolling the area when they were called to a collision in Hampshire Road about 6.30am.
The probationary driver, in a 2014 Holden Cruz, had allegedly collided with a parked car in the area causing extensive damage to his vehicle.
The 29-year-old from Tarneit underwent a breath test before being taken to a police station where he returned an alleged evidentiary reading of 0.138.
The man’s licence was immediately suspended for 12 months.
