Hollywood movies are coming to the Brentwood Centre for spring May bank holiday.
In collaboration with Sunset Drive-in, residents can sit back in the comfort of their cars and enjoy some classic films between May 28 to 31.
Ten films will be put on, including Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Sister Act, School of Rock, Back to the Future and A Star Is Born.
The LED screen aims to provide clear viewing during the day and night and a range of sing-a-long films can also be booked – including Bohemian Rhapsody, The Greatest Showman and Grease.
Commencement ceremonies for the high school class of 2021 may have more pomp as circumstances permit this spring.
Erie area schools plan to honor graduates in person. And even proms, class trips, baccalaureate services and other senior-centric events may happen, contingent on COVID-19 case numbers and Erie County Department of Health approval. Graduation won t be 2,000 people plus faculty and staff at the Bayfront Convention Center, but it may be more traditional than last year, said James Vieira, dean of Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy in Erie.
The class of 2021 will be the second class to graduate during the COVID-19 pandemic. Commencements last year were virtual, in-person for small groups at a time, or both. Plans for 2021 in-person events are still works in progress because state health and education department guidelines are le to change.

Surf Nite, hosted by the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, sold out on March 11.
Festival organizers moved the event to the Sunset Drive-In in San Luis Obispo where 300 cars showed up.
T-shirts were also given out to those who lined up early to get in, according to the festival director.
They also brought out VW buses from the VW bus club for people to check out as they walked to the concession stand.
It looks a little different from past years, which usually draws up to 800 people to the Fremont Theater for a night celebrating the sport.
