Valerie Baker, an RSU 21 teacher, leaves legacy of selflessness

An outstanding smile. Filled with positive energy. An integral part of the community. Sunny. Bright. And, again, selfless. Selfless. That’s the word used repeatedly to describe Valerie Baker, 70, the special education teacher at the Middle School of the Kennebunks who passed away unexpectedly last Friday. In phone interviews, her son, Ryan, used the word, and so too did Baker’s colleagues, MSK Principal Marty Bouchard and RSU 21 Special Education Director Susan Martin. “Every one of her students mattered to her,” Martin said. “She took care of her school kids just like she took care of her own family. There was never a child she could not reach. She loved them all.”

Bradley Matthew Iiams, a lifelong Rancher of Lander, WY passed away on December 6, 2020, at Promise Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah as the sun was setting. The Iiams family would like to invite everyone to meet on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at the Iiams Family homestead located at 111 Iiams Road for a tractor-wagon procession to the Mount Hope Cemetery, a Graveside Service with full burial will follow.Â Brad was born March 27, 1948, in Lander, Wyoming to LeRoy Iiams and Marie Alexander (Campbell). He was named after Marieâs grandfather, David Bradley, and LeRoyâs Uncle, Matt. He was born and raised on the pioneer Iiams Ranch located on Table Mountain and where the Wyoming Life Resource Center now sits.Â
