The Courier-Mail can reveal since the beginning of 2020 the Queensland College of Teachers has taken action against 42 teachers, with 29 struck off in 2019 and 21 in 2018. Many were accused of engaging in sexual or intimate relationships with current or former students, including one 34-year-old sports coach who exchanged more than 44,000 iMessages with a student over nine months.
