Sophia was first fitted with an artificial limb when she was 10 months old. “She uses it to skip, horseback ride, play the ukulele. She just got a new skipping rope attachment this week. We try to get her into as many opportunities as we can.”

DETROIT (FOX 2) - Susan Carlson and her husband, Ken, came down with COVID-19 in mid-April when they were only halfway through the vaccination process. I got the sore throat, I had a very weird pressure in my chest and it was quite scary, she said. It came on him very suddenly. He was tired - he got chills, a fever, sore throat, his chest was heavy and he started to cough, and we were like, Uh-oh, what is going on here?

As a Report for America corps member, part of my mission is to volunteer for a service project in the community I serve.
For the past six months, it has been my great pleasure to serve as the Press-Gazette liaison, adviser and editor for the Green Bay East High School student newspaper, the Hi-Light.
I am proud of the work these student journalists have accomplished during a very challenging year of virtual learning during the pandemic.
The students had to juggle a demanding schedule of learning through their computers all day while still participating in clubs and activities, such as music, and somehow finding the time to report and write news stories.
