TIRANA (Albania), December 29 (SeeNews) - Albania s government plans to call the first tender for the construction of utility-scale on-shore wind power plants, which is backed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in early 2021, the bank said on Tuesday.
The tender is also supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) with a grant in the amount of 650,000 euro ($796,400), the EBRD said in a statement.
The auction, which will target 130 MW of total capacity, will see bidders propose projects ranging in size from 30 MW to 75 MW, according to a statement from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
