Jayson Oweh Drafted No 31 Overall By Baltimore Ravens

Former Penn State defensive end Jayson Oweh heard his name called in the NFL Draft Thursday night when the Baltimore Ravens took him with the No. 31 overall pick. Following Micah Parsons, he’s now the second Nittany Lion taken in the first round of the NFL Draft. JUST IN: With the 31st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select… Jayson Oweh!! pic.twitter.com/A0zFvAB0o5 Onward State (@OnwardState) April 30, 2021 Oweh leaves Penn State with 63 total tackles and seven sacks in a three-year career. Despite not recording a sack this past season, Oweh earned a career-high in total tackles (38) and tackles for a loss (6.5). The 6’5″, 252-pound edge rusher burst onto the scene in 2019, as he notched his career-high five sacks. His top game of that impressive season came when he earned two sacks in a win over Michigan State.

Grading each position group for the Ravens before the draft

Grading each position group for the Ravens before the draft Final report card due today! Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports With the NFL Draft beginning tomorrow, I decided to take a look at the Ravens’ current roster and grade each position group before draft picks are added to it. Baltimore enters the draft with one of the league’s better rosters on paper, but what positions could use a boost? Quarterback - A The Ravens still have the 2019 unanimous MVP running the show, which automatically makes this a high grade. Especially considering Lamar Jackson is still on a rookie deal, making him a tremendous value. The only worry about the quarterback position for Baltimore is the lack of an experienced and proven backup. After the release of veteran Robert Griffin III this offseason, Trace McSorley and Tyler Huntley are set to compete for the role. Both players saw limited action in 2020, but both flashed the potential to be decent pieces to a QB room.

2021 NFL Draft: Team Needs - AFC North

Set: Quarterback, running back, cornerback As the title suggests, the focus of this article is on needs.  We’ll discuss some depth moves as well but the Bengals have both Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon under contract until 2025 so they’re relatively “set” with starters.  They may have released Gio Bernard but Trayveon Williams actually graded out surprisingly well in pass blocking (which was Gio’s specialty) and they have him and Samaje Perine under cheap deals until 2023 so I don’t see them using any of their more valuable picks on backup QB or running back this year.  They have bigger fish to fry at picks 5, 38, and 69 at least.

Late for Work 4/12: Veteran Edge Rusher Justin Houston Will Reportedly Visit Ravens

Justin Houston Will Reportedly Visit Ravens This Week There have been questions as to why the Ravens haven t signed one of the veteran pass rushers still available on the free agent market. Those questions could be answered soon as four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Justin Houston is expected to visit Baltimore on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. The @Ravens will host Justin Houston on a free agent visit next week. Huge void on the edge. Have attempted to land him in the past, as discussed on @IA1057TheFan Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) April 9, 2021 Houston Houston became a free agent this offseason after spending the last two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
