Fishers Police Still Investigating After Body Found in Pond
FISHERS, Ind. Fishers police are still investigating the death of a person found Wednesday in a retention pond.
A contractor working in the Wintercove neighborhood reported finding a body floating in a pond near the intersection of Easy Street and Courtyard Way.
The Fishers Police Department Dive Team responded and pulled the body from the water.
On Friday, detectives and dive team members returned to the pond. Divers found a car fully submerged close to where the body was found. Investigators have confirmed that the car belonged to the deceased.
Police have not identified the person or said how they died, but they have ruled out foul play.
The Wednesday, June, 2, 2021, crash in Marion Township is still under investigation.

A Rochester motorcyclist was hospitalized Wednesday following a crash with a SUV in Marion Township.
Bradley Nelson, 59, was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with a suspected serious leg injury after he was thrown off his motorcycle.
The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office was called to respond to the two-vehicle accident at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday in the intersection of 60th Avenue and Easy Street Southeast. The driver of a 2017 Ford Edge, 48-year-old Casey Varpness, of Rochester, was on Easy Street facing westbound when she stopped at the stop sign, according to Capt. Scott Behrns.
