73 job seekers appointed in Sharjah under Sultan’s directives 02 Mar 2021 Gulf Today, Staff Reporter Pursuant to the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to employ 1,000 citizens across Sharjah cities and regions in 2021 for an estimated budget of Dhs300 million, the Directorate of Human Resources, in co-ordination and co-operation with all government departments, authorities and institutions in the emirate employed 73 job seekers in January and February. Dr Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, affirmed that Sheikh Sultan is keen on launching initiatives and issuing directives and decisions for supporting the employment of national cadres and enhance their competitive capabilities to enter the labor market according to corporate plans and strategies and lead the sustainable government development processes.

BEECH MOUNTAIN — Beech Mountain Town Council discussed potential changes to town departments in order to better serve the town’s growing population during its Tuesday, Feb. 9 monthly meeting. Public comments submitted to the council included one from local businessman Mike Boston, who expressed his concern over the way an employee at the town’s convenience center has been treated since he started enforcing the town’s new policy that requires people dropping off their trash to have a tag displayed in their vehicle in order to access the convenience center. “Within a total of five minutes apart, I witnessed the rudest behavior I’d seen in quite a while. I asked (the employee), who was tearful/visibly upset, how often this happens, and he said many times a day,” Boston stated.

The actress, who was in the UAE recently to film director Lal Jose’s ‘Meow’, posted a video of her embarking on this adrenaline-charged adventure. “I have always dreamt of being able to fly. Becoming a commercial pilot being my first ever innocent childhood dream, I can say that this is the closest I have come to fulfilling it. Nothing matches the feeling of being your own pilot and I love to be the pilot of my own life,” posted Mohandas on February 20 on her Facebook account.
