Compost created right here in Goulburn from residents’ recycled organic waste will be launched for sale next weekend at the Goulburn Waste Management Centre.
Growing Abilities Goulburn will be the first organisation to use Council’s newly created compost product, with the first batch dropped off last week, while Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman and Mayor Bob Kirk undertook a site visit to learn the process this week.
“The project has been a long journey, beginning with the rollout of green bins, and then construction of an organic waste pad, and the continual effort where staff have refined our processes to end up with the compost we have now” said Mayor Bob Kirk.

I CAN sense the frustrations of the former Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Datuk Sam Mannan on the issue related to illegal entry into forest reserves under the Forest Enactment 1968. During his tenureship as CCF together with his deputy (who is the current CCF), we had discussions on it, and it had been more than 10 years the Sabah Forestry Department raised and brought the matter to the State Government to resolve it.
Sabah Environmental Trust (SET) has been collaborating with the State Government since October 2017 on DaMaI Initiative – Patrolling (Enforcement and Monitoring) in a million hectare DaMaI Rainforest Complex.

More than 100,000 people have signed a petition calling for the proposed Sizewell C nuclear power station to be rejected because of its feared impact on an internationally-important nature reserve.
The RSPB Love Minsmere campaign launched a national advertising campaign last week targeting EDF Energy offices with more experts and wildlife campaigners backing its fight against the £20billion project.
