The Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement Unit) said it had obtained an order of the Lagos State Mobile Court to auction 88 forfeited vehicles.
It was gathered that the forfeited vehicles were impounded for driving against the traffic in different parts of the state.
According to the Chairman of the agency, Shola Jejeloye, the drivers of the vehicles were arraigned before the mobile court, which ordered their forfeiture.
Jejeloye, who noted that the public auction would hold on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the agency’s car park, Alausa, Ikeja, urged private and commercial bus drivers to desist from driving against the traffic.

The Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command has said it has impounded six vehicles following Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s directive to seize vehicles with covered number plates.
It was gathered that five out of the vehicles had been transferred to the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement Unit).
The Head, Public Affairs Unit, RRS, Femi Malik, said in a statement on Sunday that the sixth vehicle, a Mercedes Benz, ML 350, was impounded on Victoria Island on Saturday around 9.30pm.
According to Malik, the driver of the vehicle, one Adam Oluremi, mobilised a military officer to shoot at the personnel of the RRS.

The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has impounded six vehicles with covered number plates following a directive of the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
This was contained in a statement signed by RPS’ Head, Public Affairs, Mr Femi Moliki, who said five of the vehicles had been transferred to the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences, and that the sixth, a Mercedes Benz ML 350, was intercepted and impounded on Victoria Island.
Sanwo-Olu orders police to impound vehicles with covered number plate

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo–Olu has directed Rapid Response Squad to impound vehicles with covered number plate in the state.
Head of Public Affairs Unit, Rapid Response Squad, Femi Moliki, in a statement, on Sunday, said six vehicles without number plate had been impounded after the directive.
In the statement titled, ‘Sanwo-Olu orders police to impound vehicles with covered number plate’, Moliki said, “Five of the vehicles have been transferred to the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences. The sixth, a Mercedes Benz, ML 350 was intercepted and impounded in Victoria Island by the officers of the squad around 9:30 p.m. yesterday (Saturday).
