Ludhiana: Several trade unions of the city on Sunday staged a protest against the central government, demanding release of farmers and social activists who had been arrested sometime back by Delhi police. Other demands of the protesters included repeal of farm laws and dismantling of the barriers at the borders of Delhi.
The protesters organised a protest march near Bharat Nagar Chowk by holding placards and raising slogans against the central government while demanding reduction in the rates of petrol, diesel and LPG. They also sat on the side of the road for a short while and held placards of their demands to draw public attention.

JAMMU, Jan 17: Commis-sioner Secretary Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohella today visited the seven days Annual Training Camp (ATC) being organized by 2nd J&K Girls Battalion NCC at Camping Ground Nagrota to boost the spirit of cadets, the future warriors of India.
Jammu and Kashmir is first in India to start camps for NCC cadets during the present pandemic situation with due cooperation from the civil administration and Army authorities. This was the 6th such camp in the series.

JAMMU, Dec 20: Member of Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha, constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma visited village Keink and Rabta in Raipur -Domana and Nagrota constituencies and welcomed newly elected Sarpanchs and Panchs there.
On the occasion senior leaders of NC and Panchs joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at village Rabta in his presence.
Jugal Kishore in his address to the gathering said that BJP which is the nationwide largest party stood firm to take decisions in favour of Sarpanchs and Panches to give them their fundamental rights for development of their areas and held BDC and DDC elections first time in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that BJP does not believe in dynastic politics and in the party even common man can rise to become its president and can become Prime Minister also.
