Telugu Desam Party leader and former Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya was arrested by Hyderabad Police for the abduction of the three brothers over a land dispute. The other accused are Bhuma Akhila Priya s husband Bhargav Ram and AV Subba Reddy. Bhuma Akhila Priya was named as A-1 in the case and has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody. She was then shifted to Chanchalguda Central Prison. She reportedly suffered fits and fainted in the prison.
Akhila Priya’s lawyer moved a bail petition in the Secunderabad court stating that her client was pregnant and suffering from health issues. The court asked the police to file a counter and deferred the hearing to Friday.

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party leader and former Andhra Pradesh minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, who was arrested on Thursday, is named the main accused for her alleged role in abducting three businessmen.
The police submitted the remand report to the court to this effect, stating that it was Akhila Priya who had hatched the plan to abduct the three persons – K Praveen Rao, K Sunil Rao and K Naveen Rao – from their residence on Tuesday night.
The three are known to be close relatives of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Former Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and TDP leader AV Subba Reddy were arrested by the Hyderabad police for her alleged connection with the kidnap of three brothers. Earlier, the police named AV Subba Reddy as accused no. 1 (A-1) and arrested him on Wednesday and Akhila Priya was named as accused no. 2. Subba Reddy was released after questioning him and served him notice under Section 41 of Criminal Procedure Code. Now, he has been named as A-2 in the case and Akhila Priya was named as A-1.

Hyderabad: The city police on Wednesday placed former Andhra Pradesh minister Bhuma Akhila Priya under arrest for her alleged involvement in the kidnapping of former hockey player Praveen Rao and two of his brothers, Naveen Rao and Sunil Rao, on Tuesday night.
