WEBB CITY, Mo. â Surrounded by his loving family, Steven âSteveâ Odaffer, 65, passed away on November 20, 2020, at his home, following a five-year battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Steve was born on Aug. 10, 1955, in Parsons, where he was raised. He graduated from Parsons High School in 1973, following an illustrious basketball career. His senior year, he led his team to a state title, was named the tournament MVP and was designated as one of the top five players in the state.
Following his high school career, he made the decision to attend Independence Community College and then Pittsburg State University on full basketball scholarships. This may have been the best decision of his life, as he met his beautiful âsweetheartâ while pursuing his physical education degree at Pittsburg State. They married on June 3, 1978, and celebrated 42 anniversaries before Steveâs passing. If you had the privilege to know Steve and Kipra well, you were bl
