Feb052021 Image courtesy of KeyBank JT Klein Co. has received a $29.3 million financing package from KeyBank for the construction of Limestone Ridge Apartments, a 116-unit affordable housing project in Fitchburg, Wis. KeyBank Community Development Lending and Investment provided the borrower with a $16 million construction loan, while KeyBank’s Commercial Mortgage Group secured a $13.3 million, fixed-rate forward tax-exempt loan through Freddie Mac. Limestone Ridge will take shape on a 3.8-acre parcel at 6270 Limestone Lane. Upon completion, the four-story building designed by JLA Architects will house one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with all units restricted to households earning between 50 and 80 percent of the area’s median income. Amenities will include a fitness center and playground.

Fred Eisenberger, who has served as the mayor of Hamilton since 2014, said discussions are currently underway between the local medical officer of health and her provincial counterpart about what further steps need to be taken to slow the spread of the virus in the city. “They will collectively make a recommendation to the premier and cabinet and they ll make a decision,”Eisenberger said. Hamilton reported 99 new cases of the virus today, along with another 134 on Monday, and Eisenberger noted that the region has reached the same provincial threshold as other areas that have been placed in lockdown.

According to a memo issued by owners Cadillac Fairview and obtained by 680 NEWS, the move is to facilitate spreading out traffic in the mall and “allow more time for visitors to shop safely.”
