GAC unifies social media platforms

Doha: The General Authority of Customs (GAC) has announced merging Al-Nadeeb accounts on social media with the GAC.
The step was taken to unify the GAC media platforms as the publications of Al-Nadeeb system for electronic customs clearance will be continuously included in the publications of the Authority to ensure reliability and cut out duplication in released content through the two accounts, the GAC said on its website.
The GAC noted that the Public Relations Department and the Operations Management and Risk Analysis Department carried out the merger. It added that a monthly plan was developed to disseminate information on the Authority’s media platforms.

The Customs Declaration Service is a customs declaration platform that is being introduced gradually.
It went live in August 2018 and is being run alongside the existing system – the Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) service.
