CB Bottega, which officially launches the last weekend of May, is the Cheese Boutique’s new café and gelateria, just down the street from the famous fromagerie. In its 51 years of existence, Cheese Boutique evolved from a much smaller deli to a full-fledged specialty grocer, complete with a butcher, a bakery, a killer produce section and shelves upon shelves of imported artisanal goods. A new food travel series is coming to Canada this summer, and it s all about one of the world s most beloved foods: cheese.
Cheese: A Love Story will explore iconic cheese locations as host Afrim Pristine travels to meet farmers, cheesemakers, shop owners, affineurs, and chefs in Switzerland, France, Greece, Toronto, Quebec, and British Columbia.
Even as the world s youngest Maître Fromager–or cheese master –Pristine has 25 years of cheese experience and is the owner of Cheese Boutique in Toronto. With this new series, his love for cheese will take him on a journey around the globe to meet with culinary pioneers and take a deeper look into how each culture has innovated their use of cheese.

The food
WoofDawg formerly known as KungFu Dawg was once a beloved Ossington hot dog cart. Its new standalone restaurant features most of the same menu items, the stars of which are chef Stephen Payne’s homemade, no-filler dogs with natural casings. They’re available in pork and beef, all beef, chicken, or veggie (all but the veggie are WoofDawg originals). The dogs are decked out with elaborate toppings, and are as much fun to look at as they are to eat. A few kinds of elaborately dressed fries are available on the side.
