In 2012, Flavien Joubert Principal of Seychelles Tourism Academy, led a delegation to Oman to lay the foundation and officialised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Board Members of Oman Tourism College ( OTC) to provide specialise international standards training for Omani nationals and enhanced active participation in development of tourism sector in Oman. The agreement set the benchmark for Oman Tourism College (OTC) and Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) to pave the way for an official visit of Omani delegation in Seychelles, organised jointly by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Seychelles Tourism Board, Seychelles Tourism Academy and Dean of Oman Tourism College.

Since Sunday, April 19, 2015, the Seychelles International Airport has turned into a spectacular arena of international carnival and cultural delegations flocking in numbers to Seychelles to participate in fifth anniversary of the Seychelles Carnaval International de Victoria.
On Tuesday, April 21, it was the turn of Cambodia and South Korea to show their strength, with a 28-member delegation from Cambodia and a 4-member delegation from Korea. The Cambodia delegation was the first to land in Seychelles on Tuesday at 0720 hours on the Air Seychelles HM 187 flight.
