Jay Hill is not a member of the Progressive Conservative Party. Yet. But with the official termination of his membership in the Canadian Alliance, the option of taking out a membership in the Tory party has become a distinct possibility for the veteran Prince George-Peace River MP. “It’s becoming more of an option,” says Hill from his Ottawa office. “I don’t see any way to implement any of these things we (the Reform-Alliance movement) have been trying to do for 15 years if we don’t end this war of attrition with the PCs.” Hill discovered last week that he and six other former Canadian Alliance MPs who defected from the party last year have had their memberships in the party terminated, rather than suspended as was previously assumed to be the case.
