More than 3,400 customers in Montgomery County lost power during a severe thunderstorm Wednesday night, according to a Pepco spokesman.
Storms rolled through the greater Washington area Wednesday night, bringing down trees and power lines throughout the area. The region was under a severe thunderstorm warning from the National Weather Service for much of the evening.
Pepco spokesman Sean Matthews said 3,440 customers in the county were without power at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
