Updated: 9:49 PM EDT Jul 13, 2021 By Russ Reed Tuesday marked the end of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft, and more than a dozen players with Massachusetts ties were selected over the course of the three-day event.Boston College outfielder Sal Frelick and Wake Forest University right-handed pitcher Ryan Cusick were drafted in the first round on Sunday.Frelick, a three-sport star at Lexington High School, was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers with the 15th overall pick. Cusick, a Sudbury native who starred at Lincoln-Sudbury High School, was picked by the Atlanta Braves with the 24th overall selection.Two of Frelick s Boston College teammates were chosen on Day 2 of the draft on Monday.
