As the University Park Undergraduate Association heads into the third meeting of its 16th General Assembly, some new faces are emerging.
Last monthâs executive and legislative elections brought a turnout of 3,307 voters and saw many familiar and returning members elected to Penn Stateâs student government, but others are just beginning their legislative terms.
Previously serving as a representative in UPUAâs freshman council, Kyle Quinn was elected as an at-large representative in the General Assembly, where he said he hopes to increase UPUAâs outreach efforts to the broader student population.
Quinn (freshman-industrial engineering) also ran on reform ideas for Penn Stateâs student government. Memorial set for off-duty Celina officer who died in Grayson County crash
Det. KC Robinson and his 6-year-old daughter died in a crash Monday. A candlelight vigil will be held Thursday to honor Robinson.

CELINA, Texas The City of Celina has created a memorial site dedicated to 33-year-old Det. KC Robinson. He died in a vehicle accident Monday in Grayson County.
His 6-year-old daughter, Brynlee, also died at the scene. Robinson, who was off-duty at the time of the crash, had served with the Celina Police Department for three years.
None of the students on the school bus were injured, DPS said.
Robinson, 33, served the Celina Police Department for 3 1/2 years. Great guy, excellent officer, very family oriented, said Celina Police Chief Allwin Barrow about Robinson. He was recently promoted to a detective position and he was learning that as we go and was doing an excellent job for us, he is going to be missed greatly.”
Barrow said Robinson and some of the other officers in the force were supposed to go on a vacation together next week. Every heart in this tight-knit community breaks tonight as we learn of the loss of Detective KC Robinson and his daughter, Brynlee, Celina Mayor Sean Terry said. Detective Robinson served our city as passionately as he loved his family, and we will deeply miss his presence on our streets and in our lives.
