The reluctance of many in Hong Kong to be vaccinated is no fault of the government but more because of the scaremongering by the media. I believe it would be timely for Hong Kong follow the example of Singapore, which has come to the realisation that Covid-19 is a flu-like virus which might not be eradicated for a very long time, if ever. Therefore, the sensible approach is to accept it and learn to live with it. That means getting back into a normal routine with citizens taking responsibility for their health, wearing masks in crowded areas, trying some social distancing where convenient to do so and accepting that vaccines are much safer than infections.
