at the latest session of the World Heritage Committee China today, the heritage body declared that the “outstanding universal value” of Liverpool s Maritime Mercantile City has been irrevocably compromised by new construction, including plans for Everton s new 52,000-seater stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Am Freitag werden die Olympischen Sommerspiele in Tokio eröffnet. Die Podiumsuniform für die chinesische Sportdelegation bei den Olympischen Spielen in Tokio wurde kürzlich bereits offiziell vorgestellt. Der 53-jährige Designer, Timmy Yip Kam-tim, ist ein Künstler aus Hongkong und international bekannt als Kostümbildner und bildender Künstler, der mit dem Film „Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon“ einen Oscar für „Best Art Design“ gewann. Es ist das zweite Mal, dass Yip einen Beitrag zu den Olympischen Spielen leistet. Im Jahr 2004 war er Kostümdesigner für die chinesische Performance-Gruppe bei der Abschlussfeier der Olympischen Spiele in Athen.
