President Xi Jinping has warned China will take âresolute actionâ to defeat any push for Taiwanâs independence, and warned that foreign countries seeking to bully Beijing will face âbloodshedâ against an iron Great Wall of 1.4 billion people.
In a hardline speech to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party on Thursday, Mr Xi also said China must step up the modernisation of its defence forces and the country would not tolerate criticism from other countries.
