Carnation city leaders demand results from Seattle over Tolt Dam warning system
The Carnation City Council is frustrated over the lack of action from Seattle city officials over the Tolt Dam Warning System. The warning system has now failed to work properly three times since last July.
CARNATION, Wash. - Carnation city leaders are demanding action from Seattle regarding the Tolt Dam warning system following an incident last week.
During the City of Carnation’s Council Meeting Tuesday night, Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) gave a presentation on the Tolt Dam warning system that failed to work properly and sound off last Wednesday.
Though the
Southwest Precinct helped circulate this citywide alert about being prepared in case of civil unrest tomorrow, our area has no planned demonstrations and no threats.

West Seattle Crime Prevention Council meeting, a short and sparsely attended gathering. It was led by precinct Crime Prevention Coordinator
Jennifer Danner. Precinct commander Capt.
Kevin Grossman was unable to attend, so the meeting-opening update was brief, just a quick recap of some of the 2020 crime stats we reported last week.

Tubby would be one of last year’s ‘pups,’ born in the summer so would be approximately 6 or 7 months old.
