The coronavirus pandemic has brought significant changes to how Davis celebrates the holidays this year. But some time-honored traditions will continue, despite a little tweaking.
That holds true for the Davis Food Coop’s 35th annual Christmas Eve holiday meal, a free event enjoyed by as many 700 people who otherwise would not have a place to get one. While this usually festive sit-down meal will be to-go only due this year to current health guidelines, it carries on nonetheless.
Dear Editor:
The success of the recent Thanksgiving dinner is a reflection of the ever increasing dedication of the Salida area citizenâs display of continual dedication to make our area one of the greatest places.
This recent Thanksgiving dinner was a resounding success but we could not have done it without all of the amazing volunteers.Â
The Salida Community Center appreciates your gift of time, energy and donations in order to make this event come together. Â
We will also be preparing for the Christmas dinner and will be asking for volunteers.
Whenever COVID-19 came into our world the people of this area have stepped up to make sure that our neighbors are safe.Â
