KUALA LUMPUR: All police officers and personnel nationwide will have their leave frozen as part of preparations for the Aidilfitri celebration next month, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
He said it was to ensure smooth celebration during the festive season.
“We will monitor movement similar to the one implemented during the Movement Control Order (MCO) last year even though there is no directive on MCO has been issued.
“Similar to last year, a total of 46,000 police personnel have been assigned and another 12,000 are on standby,” he said at a press conference after the presentation of the PDRM Reject Corruption campaign’s letters of appreciation in Bukit Aman today.

KUALA LUMPUR: The government has approved 7,387 applications for financing totalling RM1.38 billion under the Penjana Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Financing programme as of April 9, 2021.
In the 50th Inter-Agencies Economic Stimulus Implementation and Coordination Unit (Laksana) report released today, Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said the government allocated RM2 billion under this programme which prioritised SMEs that had never obtained bank loans previously.
During the period, he said 322,177 employers and 2.64 million employees have benefited from the Wage Subsidy Programme (PSU) 1.0 under the Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package (Prihatin) and Penjana.
The minister said the approved wage subsidy applications under PSU 1.0 have reached RM12.87 billion.
