809 ventilators given to districts, Punjab Chief Secretary

CHANDIGARH: Taking another step towards facilitating the critical Covid patients gasping for life and in order to further ramp up the health facilities to conquer the devastating second virus surge, the Punjab Government has provided 809 more ventilators to the districts in the state.
This was disclosed by the Chief Secretary, Ms Vini Mahajan, after chairing a high-level meeting to review the current Covid situation and vaccination status in the state, here on Sunday.
She directed all the Deputy Commissioners to install the new ventilators today itself and ensure that not even a single oxygen concentrator and ventilator remain unutilised. She also ordered to impose work from home for private offices so that the chain of Covid transmission could be arrested.

The health department has asked all the government-run hospitals to reserve 70 per cent beds for Covid patients and also expressed the need to ensure similar reservations in private healthcare facilities owing to the unprecedented rise in Covid-19 cases across the state.
In a letter addressed to all the Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeons, private hospitals and the director of Ranchi-based Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), the health department stated that the various healthcare facilities in Jharkhand need to increase the number of dedicated beds for Covid patients in order to deal with the rapidly rising cases of Coronavirus infection in the state.

The Haryana government on Thursday announced a slew of measures to check the spread of COVID in the state.

DHAKA, April 3, 2021 (BSS) All the events of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games are being held in accordance with the standard health protocol. The authority is serious about the health rules as the body temperature of the people, including the athletes, are being checked before their entry to a certain venue. Everyone had a mask on their face as it was strictly advised while athletes are following the social distance rules amongst them.
It was seen on Saturday that anyone who is not affiliated with the Gymnastics Federation is not allowed to enter the gymnasium. During this pandemic time, not only Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation, but all 31 disciplines of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games are following the hygiene rules.
